Lahore Qalandars’ wicketkeeper-batter Parvez Hossain Emon has been unfortunately ruled out of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 after a ligament injury to one of his shoulders. The injury took place during the game against Multan Sultans, where he collided with his colleague Asif Ali while fielding at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The Lahore-based franchise has confirmed the development regarding Emon’s ouster via an official statement. He will be heading back home for recuperation after the conclusion of Qalandars’ match against Peshawar Zalmi. Further details regarding Emon’s injury are expected to be made in due course by Bangladesh Cricket Board, but he stands ruled out of PSL for now.

“MRI scans confirmed a ligament tear, and he has been advised to undergo a period of rest and rehabilitation over the coming weeks. Following a careful assessment, it has been decided to release him from the squad, with a replacement to be announced in due course,” the franchise said in an official statement.
