Former Indian cricketer Kris Srikkanth has downplayed Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) chances against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash on April 15 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Srikkanth pointed out that LSG have had a mixed campaign so far, managing just two wins from four matches, which doesn’t make them a strong threat. In contrast, RCB have been in excellent form this season, losing only one game and consistently putting up big scores.

With six points already on the table and heading into their third home game, RCB appear to have the momentum firmly on their side going into this contest.

“They do well in one match and fail the next. They have a good bowling lineup, but they don’t combine as a team. They are sending Ayush Badoni at No.5 and thinking they can win matches that way. They have no batting after No.4. LSG seems to have 10 coaches. It might be better for them if their support staff play in the 11,” said Srikkanth on his YouTube channel.

Srikkanth has labelled RCB as massive favourites for their IPL 2026 clash against LSG at the Chinnaswamy. Srikkanth praised RCB’s overall team balance and structure, highlighting Krunal Pandya as the perfect balancing figure in the side. He emphasised that the all-rounder’s ability to contribute with both bat and ball adds depth and stability, making RCB a well-rounded unit going into the contest.

“They have a fantastic team, mainly because of the balance Krunal Pandya brings. Their top six is such that if any two strike on a given day, they score big. So they will definitely crush LSG. It’s 90-10 RCB,” said Srikkanth.

Krunal is enjoying another impressive season with the ball, having picked up five wickets at an average of under 24 while maintaining an economy rate of 9.07, further strengthening RCB’s balance. RCB’s strong run in IPL 2026 includes victories over Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, and Sunrisers Hyderabad, with their only defeat coming against Rajasthan Royals.
